Nella notte è stato il turno dei Writers Guild Awards 2017 dire la loro, ed i due premi ci hanno regalato sorprese. Se infatti nella categoria non originale ha vinto Arrival, in quella originale il premio è andato a Moonlight.

Due vittorie meritatissime, ma il significato in vista dell’Oscar lo trovate voi da soli: l’Academy ha nominato Moonlight invece tra le sceneggiature non originali, dove ora è il favoritissimo, mentre la categoria originale rimane senza un chiaro risultato con la volata tra La La Land e Manchester by the Sea che probabilmente andrà avanti fino all’apertura della busta.
