Nella notte è stato il turno dei Writers Guild Awards 2019 dire la loro, ed i due premi ci hanno regalato sorprese.  Grosse sorprese. Se infatti nella categoria originale ha vinto il piccolo Eighth Grade (ancora senza distribuzione in Italia), in quella adattata il premio è andato a Copia Originale.

Un qualcosa di sorprendente, una vittoria contro i favoriti. E assolutamente impronosticabile, considerando che Eighth Grade non è nemmeno candidato agli Oscar.

Uno scenario che conferma davvero questa corsa agli Oscar 2019 come, ufficialmente, la più imprevedibile di sempre. Ormai non è solo esagerazione, ma un dato statistico: è infatti la prima volta nella storia che i premi di PGA, DGA, SAG, WGA, guild del montaggio e della fotografia vanno TUTTI a film diversi. Nessuno ha vinto più di un singolo riconoscimento.
