E così, nel marasma di premi e nominations di questi giorni, arriva anche la tappa delle candidature dei Critics Choice Awards 2020, che per formato e numero di categorie ricordano molto gli Oscar. Questa manifestazione è votata dai critici di stampa, radio e anche web, dando quindi una media molto rappresentativa del gusto dell’anno.

A dominare sono le 14 nominations di The Irishman, a seguire abbiamo le 12 di C’era una volta a Hollywood, e poi il solito plotone di titoli che si spartiscono il resto: tutti i film della stagione in odore di Oscar sono qui presenti, anche per la scelta bizzarra (e che, onestamente, toglie anche un pizzico di credibilità e prestigio) di inserire fino a 7 opzioni nelle varie categorie.
