L’Academy ha annunciato tutte in una volta le varie shortlist di diverse categorie per concorrere alla nomination agli Oscar.

Cosa è una shortlist? Semplice, essendoci ovviamente centinaia di film da valutare, le varie giurie dell’Academy screma i titoli in vari gruppi, e da quelle i vari giurati voteranno per arrivare alle nominations.

Ci sono diverse esclusioni eccellenti (Il Processo ai Chicago 7 al trucco, Wonder Woman 1984 agli effetti) e una nota da italiani dobbiamo dirla: come preventivabile, purtroppo Notturno non ce l’ha fatta a rientrare in quella per il film straniero,  ma è in quella per il documentario, mentre Pinocchio di Matteo Garrone è in corsa per il trucco.
