The Lost Daughter, che da noi ha mantenuto il titolo italiano del romanzo originale di Elena Ferrante La Figlia Oscura, ha trionfato agli Independent Spirit Awards 2022, il massimo premio del cinema indy americano, che quest’anno per la prima volta non si sono tenuti, come tradizione, a 24 ore dagli Oscar ma ben tre settimane prima.

Dopotutto ormai da qualche anno l’influenza di questi premi sull’Academy è notevolmente diminuita – anche se Nomadland ha vinto lo scorso anno – e infatti nella cinquina del miglior film non era presente nessun candidato al premio massimo degli Oscar. Giusto quindi staccarsi e celebrare senza pressioni il meglio del cinema indipendente americano, che ha visto prendere premi anche bellissimo film come Red Rocket, Zola e Shiva Baby.
