Lo sapevamo già, ma nel giro di una sola sera Il Potere del Cane ha praticamente cementificato il suo status di grande favorito per gli Oscar. In pochissime ore ha infatti vinto i Critics Choice Awards, il premio che riunisce la critica americana, e i Bafta Awards, i prestigiosi massimi premi del cinema britannico.

Così come per le categorie degli attori, con un quartetto che dopo i SAG Awards si è nuovamente ripetuto in blocco. Dopo questi premi, in ottica Oscar sono ancora aperte le categorie della sceneggiatura, improvvisamente quella dell’animazione, e quella del montaggio, perché ai Bafta e ai Critics hanno vinto due film nemmeno candidati agli Oscar. Insomma, ne vedremo ancora delle belle.
