Ci siamo, sono arrivate, le nominations degli Oscar 2016 sono qui. Ci sono state pochissime sorprese ma molto significative (ad esempio nella categoria della regia) ed i film che hanno sempre più candidature, sfruttando soprattutto il peso tecnico della loro confezione, sono The Revenant e Mad Max con rispettivamente 12 e 10 nominations a testa.

Ora, a caldo, con un breve commento si può dire che escono benissimo i due grossi favoriti Spotlight e La Grande Scommessa, che hanno preso le candidature chiave esattamente nei posti dove dovevano necessariamente ottenerle. E’ andato meglio del previsto Room e peggio del previsto The Martian, che non ha ottenuto la nominationa alla regia di Ridley Scott, che molti davano addirittura come favorito. Ed il chiacchieratissimo Star Wars ha preso 5 nominations tutte tecniche.

Facendo un po’ di nomi, sottolineo le prime nominations in carriera per Charlotte Rampling, una grande veterana spesso snobbata dai grandi film, Tom Hardy, uno degli attori più popolari e in ascesa degli ultimi anni, e Brayn Cranston, icona della serialità tv grazie a Breaking Bad. C’è la candidatura per Sylvester Stallone, nome accolto addirittura con un boato in sala. Niente nomination a Quentin Tarantino per la sua sceneggiatura, una sorpresa solo relativa considerando che il film non è piaciuto, ma per The Hateful Eight c’è il nostro Ennio Morricone alla colonna sonora. E quest’ultima categoria vede soprattutto la presenza di John Williams alla 50° nomination – avete letto bene – record per un’artista vivente. Tra i recordmen ancora nominati, sempre per la musica c’è Thomas Newman e per la fotografia Roger Deakins, entrambi alla 13° candidatura senza aver ancora mai vinto.

E poi, 50 Sfumature di Grigio è ufficialmente un film candidato all’Oscar: c’è riuscito grazie alla canzone, categoria in cui è nominata pure Lady Gaga per la canzone di un documentario e pure il film Youth del nostro Paolo Sorrentino.

 

Ed ora, la sorpresa di cui potevamo fare sicuramente a meno:
